Ἐνίσπω: ἐπιπλήξω.
Notes:
Epic aorist subjunctive of ἐνέπω / ἐννέπω , first person singular. In Homer, this verb is used in the sense "tell, relate"; for the sense "reprove, upbraid," Homer uses ἐνίπτω or ἐνίσσω (cf. epsilon 1349). Later poets use ἐνίσπω as a present indicative. See LSJ s.v. ἐνέπω .
The root of ἐνέπω is *sekw- as in Latin insece; a different *sekw- is the base for ἕπομαι and Latin sequor.
