Προκόπιος: ἐνῆγε δὲ αὐτὸν ἐς τοῦτο Χριστιανῶν λόγος καὶ ἔδακνεν αὐτοῦ τὴν διάνοιαν, ὅτι ἀνάλωτον Ἔδεσσαν ἰσχυρίζοντο εἶναι. καὶ αὖθις: ἐνῆγε δὲ πάντας εἴς τε τὰς εὐχὰς τὰς ὑπὲρ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν ὀφειλομένην εὔνοιαν, ἥ τε χρεία τῆς στρατείας ἀναγκαία οὖσα, ἣν ὑπὲρ πάντων κοινῇ ποιούμενος δῆλος ἦν, τό τε κάλλος τὸ τοῦ σώματος καὶ τὸ μέγεθος.
