Greek Original:
*diatatikw/teron: *polu/bios: tou=t' a)/meinon u(polamba/nontes ei)=nai kai\ diatatikw/teron, to\ mh/te tw=| kairw=| mh/te tai=s e)kklhsiastikai=s kai\ parastatikai=s diaqe/sesi perigi/nesqai tw=n e)nanti/wn.
Notes:
The headword (comparative degree of the rare adjective diatatiko/s) is presumably extracted from the quotation given.
[1] Polybios fr. 29 Büttner-Wobst. This fragment is odd as it stands, as if a negative or the like is missing. Indeed, Büttner-Wobst notes (518) that both he and Casaubon provided emendations to the problematic neither/nor portion. Casaubon suggested to\ mh/te tw=n kairw=n a)melei=n, so that the fragment should read something neither to neglect from the opportunities nor to surpass the opponents in the oratorical and exhortatory dispositions. Büttner-Wobst proposed to\ mht' ei)/kontas tw=| kairw=|: something neither seeming likely in the opportunity.
