Sophocles, Electra 289-90 (Electra reproduces one of her mother's taunts), with the gloss of the scholia there; cf. also the scholia to Aeschylus, Choephoroi 525. The headword adjective occurs in Aeschylus as well as Sophocles, but is not extant in Euripides.
In later periods it was little taken up by Christian literature (though see George the Monk on Julian), but does feature in 12th-century poetry: Theodorus Prodromus and Constantinus Manasses.
