Headword: *dedeixo/tas
Adler number: delta,141
Translated headword: having displayed
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[dedeixo/tas means them] displaying.[1] But dedhxo/tas ["them having bitten"] [means them] biting.[2]
Greek Original:
*dedeixo/tas: dei/cantas. *dedhxo/tas de\ dako/ntas.
Notes:
The entry (corresponding to two adjacent ones, Adler reports, in the Ambrosian Lexicon) differentiates between two perfect active participles in the masculine accusative plural, spelled differently but pronounced the same by the Suda's time. (Both are presumably extracted from somewhere, but are unattested outside lexicography.)
[1] Perfect active participle, glossed with aorist active participle, of dei/knumi ["I display, show"]
[2] Perfect active participle, glossed with aorist active participle, of da/knw ["I bite"]. Again at delta 146.
