Headword: Χαμαιρρεπές
Adler number: chi,72
Translated headword: grovelling
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning something] slinking on the ground.
Greek Original:
Χαμαιρρεπές: χαμαὶ ῥέπον.
Notes:
Same entry, according to Adler, in the Ambrosian Lexicon; and cf. Hesychius chi136 (s.v. χαμαιρεπῶς ). The headword, evidently quoted from somewhere, is neuter nominative/accusative singular of this adjective.
Adler prints the headword with double rho, while noting that four of the mss (FGSM) have single, as does LSJ s.v.
