A meter of verse.[1]
Babrias or Babrios, [wrote] Myths or Fables: for they are in choriambs, in ten books. This man changed some of the fables of Aesop from his prose tales into verse; that is choriambs.[2]
[1] The choriamb is an element of lyric verse, consisting of a long syllable, two shorts, and another long: see LSJ at web address 1.
[2] Quoted from beta 7 (q.v.). His fables are in choliambic verse ("limping iambics": cf. chi 424), not choriambics. For Aesop see alphaiota 332, alphaiota 334, alphaiota 335.
