Headword: *)aeiglh/nh|sin
Adler number: alpha,609
Translated headword: (with) constant-dirtinesses
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[no gloss]
Greek Original:
*)aeiglh/nh|sin.
Notes:
A dative plural. Ps.-Zonaras has it in the form a)eiglinh=|si, with the gloss tai=s dihne/kesi r(upari/ais "with continual filthinesses."
The word is not otherwise attested in any form, but the first element of its etymology seems to be a)ei "always" (alpha 606, alpha 607); and for the second, cf. apparently glh/nh or gli/nh = gloio/s "dirt scraped off the skin" (gamma 306).
