The word apouria, attested here and in ps.-Zonaras, occurs otherwise only in the source for the entry cited by Adler: the unpublished Lexicon codicis Barocciani 50. Its etymology is left unelucidated, but the obvious link would seem to be with urine; if so, a value-judgement rather than a technical term.
