Headword: Ἀνήϊξεν

Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning he/she/it] started up.
Greek Original:
Ἀνήϊξεν: ἀνώρμησεν.
Note:
Same entry, according to Adler, in the Ambrosian Lexicon. Hesychius has it in the plural, i.e. ἀνήϊξαν (quoted from Homer, Iliad 15.86) glossed with ἀνώρμησαν . If the Suda's singular is not simply a mistake, its source is perhaps Euripides, Phoenician Women 331, cf. 1460.
