Headword: Ἀναπεποιημένης
Adler number: alpha,2003
Translated headword: made-up, prepared
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning] mixed-up, concocted.
Greek Original:
Ἀναπεποιημένης: ἀναπεφυρμένης, ἀνεζυμωμένης.
Note:
Same entry in other lexica. The headword -- perfect middle/passive participle, feminine genitive singular, of ἀναποιέω -- occurs twenty times in the Septuagint, in the phrase "fine flour prepared in oil": Leviticus 23.13; Numbers 7.37 and passim. For no very obvious reason, the present instance of it is taken to be quoted from Numbers 15.6; so e.g. Latte on Hesychius s.v.
Keywords: definition; dialects, grammar, and etymology; food; religion
