Adler number: alpha,1618
Translated headword: tireless ones
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Gentle lambs(?).
Greek Original:
*)amo/ghtoi: a)mnoi\ pra=oi.
Note:
Apart from its use in the vocative singular in the eighth Homeric Hymn (cited by LSJ s.v., web address 1), this adjective is attested only twice, both times in the nominative plural: in the present entry and its counterpart in ps.-Zonaras. Since the latter glosses it with another adjective, a)kakopa/qhtoi ("free from suffering"), there must be a strong chance that the glossing phrase here in the Suda is textually corrupt (AKAKOΠAΘHTOI/AMNOIΠΡAOI).
