The headword might be extracted from the first quotation given, though ps.-Zonaras (see n. 1) does not give it, and in any event see n. 2.
[1] Similar glossing (second synonym only) in ps.-Zonaras.
[2] An approximation of Greek Anthology 6.245.6 (where "poverty" is in the accusative case, not nominative as here, and the verb in question is -- as suggested by Salmasius (Claude de Saumaise, 1588-1653); cf. Gow and Page, vol. II, 268 -- more probably a)le/kois "might you ward off"). The epigram, the sailor Diogenes's dedication of a promised object to one of the Kabeiroi (cf. kappa 6) during a storm at sea, is attributed to Diodorus; cf. Gow and Page (vol. I, 234-235; and vol. II, 267-268) and further extracts from this epigram at alpha 664, beta 390, lambda 183, and lambda 733.
[3] But only with the addition of a negative, as in the Homer passage about to be quoted. (The Suda has confused matters by presenting its scholion first.)
