And elsewhere: "two of the generals fled before the verdict, but Konon they voted off."[3] Meaning they rejected after scrutiny.
Also [sc. attested is the perfect participle] 'voted-off men': in the demes votings-off were held of those whose names were in the deme register[s] but who were not Athenians but mis-enrolled as citizens; and these men were called voted-off men, since as a result of a vote on them that had been called they no longer had citizen rights. Hyperides in the [speech] Against Aristogeiton [writes]: "that in the first place more than 150,000 [slaves], the ones in the silver mines and those in the rest of Attica; then the public debtors and the disfranchised and the voted-off men and the colonists" [sc. should all be mobilized].[4]

Depending on context, the force of a)poyhfi/zomai can mean either condemnation or acquittal. See the examples below, and generally LSJ s.v.
