Headword: Antikurias soi dei
Adler number: alpha,2676
Translated headword: you are in need of hellebore
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
Meaning [you are in need] of (?)authority/power.
Greek Original:
Antikurias soi dei: anti tou exousias.
Notes:
The headword phrase, presumably quoted from somewhere, is not otherwise attested.
This word for hellebore (epsilon 770, epsilon 771) took its name from the Phokian city of Antikyra (alpha 2675), where it grew abundantly (so e.g. Pausanias 10.36.7).
The gloss does not seem very cogent as it stands; one would have expected something about purging the bowels. Possibly exousia can mean that; alternatively, read exouria ("you are in need of passing water").
