The source of the present entry is unclear. Adler suggests FGrH 151, but that is part of a narrative of the campaigns of Alexander the Great in the second half of the 330s. For Python see rather [Demosthenes] 7.19-23 on the embassy to Athens in 344, by Python and others, to renegotiate the Peace of Philokrates.
N.G.L. Hammond and G.T. Griffith, A History of Macedonia, ii (Oxford 1979) 489-95 (and 714 for the suggestion that Python might be the author of [Demosthenes] 12)
