Similarly, according to Adler, in the Ambrosian Lexicon (1142). The same entry is to be found in Hesychius delta2550, but with different glossing: dusxerw=s diwrqou/menos, mh\ diwrqou/menos.
While the headword has its origin during the second or third century CE (first attested in ps.-Galen, De humoribus 19.489) and is fully developed only later, in Patristic and Byzantine literature, the glossing adjective is already attested in the fourth century BCE (Demosthenes 4.36) and extensively used from the first century BCE onwards.
