This sense of the verb sukofantei=n -- for the better-attested one, see sigma 1330 -- is registered at LSJ s.v. II, where (as also at Henderson 135 #127) the prime source in question is identified as Plato Comicus fr. 255 Kock (now 286 K.-A.). Adler goes astray in regarding 'Plato' as the philosopher (and citing Republic 340D).
