By a metaphor from rain-clouds, [sc. this means] those who have been subject to motion, and [sc. are thus] extreme, and violent.[1] Antiphanes in Rustics [writes]: "furious/raging, invincible, a bigger deal than you seem".[2] Diphilus in Meddler [writes]: "what exactly is it? How furious/raging he departed!"[3] The word also occurs in the Prytaneis of Teleclides and the Banqueters of Aristophanes.[4]
