[2] kerki/da can also mean "weaver's shuttle" (see LSJ s.v. (web address 1) and kappa 1400). In the context of the Anthology, Paton explains: "the kerki\s is the comb with which the threads of the woof are driven home in the upright loom" (p.380 n.2).
