The headword as transmitted is present participle, masculine or neuter genitive singular, of periskuti/zw, presumably a variant of periskuqi/zw (see pi 1286). Adler notes that 'H.Stephanus' (Henri Étienne) emended to periskuqi/zontos; that violates strict alphabetical order, but Theodoridis nevertheless deems it correct. With either spelling, the source is unidentifiable.
