The headword adjective, transmitted in most mss as e)laio/deustos, should almost certainly be e)laio/deutos, as it is, Adler reports, in ms V (and consistently in Cyril of Alexandria: see further, next note). Note also ps.-Zonaras s.v. e)laio/deuton, glossed to\ e)laio/brekton
