Translation:
An ethnic term.[1]
But e)pho/s [is] a relative.[2]
Greek Original:
*)epeio/s: o)/noma e)qniko/n. *)epho\s de\ o( suggenh/s.
Notes:
There would be no difference in the Suda's time between the pronunciation of the headword *)epeio/s and the word glossed here as 'relative', e)pho/s. The latter is only attested here and in the later lexicon of ps.-Zonaras, and seems to be a mistake or a rare alternative for pi 1533, pho/s ('relative by marriage').
[1] The Epeians are a Peloponnesian people mentioned by Homer (e.g. Iliad 2.619 (web address 1)).
