[1] Despite what the compiler of this entry appears to think, there is no connection, etymological or substantive, between the headword ἔξωμος (cf. epsilon 1838, epsilon 1839) and the rest of the entry.
[2] Presumably quoted; perhaps from [Demosthenes] 49.20, but there are numerous other possibilities (and cf. under delta 523).
