Headword: *)endou/s
Adler number: epsilon,1185
Translated headword: giving in
Vetting Status: high
Translation:
[Meaning one who/which is] loosening/rarefying.
Greek Original:
*)endou/s: a)raiw/sas.
Notes:
The headword is aorist active participle, masculine nominative singular, of e)ndi/dwmi; cf. epsilon 1184. It must be quoted from somewhere, but is far too commonplace to track down. (For the general sense see LSJ s.v. e)ndi/dwmi, V.3.)
The headword has this same gloss in Lexica Segueriana 220.19 (and again in ps.-Zonaras). The participle a)raiw/sas is otherwise unattested except for one instance in the 13th-century Byzantine historian Ducas.
