Translation:
When children had been born to the citizens of Athens, it was customary on the 10th night after the birth to call together the paternal and maternal relatives and the closest friends, and when they were present to give the children their names and sacrifice to the gods for good omens; then to lay on a banquet for those who had come. And this is the tenth.[1]
Also [sc. attested is] 'I tithe', a verb. As in "[Levi] who receives tithes has been tithed".[2]
"[He] making you far more honoured than the Syracusans' tithe".[3]

Δεκάτην ἑστιάσαι: ἔθος ἦν παίδων γεννωμένων τοῖς Ἀθηναίοις ἀστοῖς, τῇ ι# τῶν νυκτῶν ἀπὸ τῆς γενέσεως συγκαλεῖσθαι τοὺς πρὸς πατρὸς καὶ μητρὸς οἰκείους καὶ τοὺς ἐγγυτάτω φίλους, καὶ παρόντων ἐκείνων τά τε ὀνόματα τοῖς παισὶ τίθεσθαι καὶ καλλιερεῖσθαι τοῖς θεοῖς: ἔπειτα εὐωχεῖσθαι τοὺς συνεληλυθότας. καὶ τοῦτό ἐστιν ἡ δεκάτη. καὶ Δεκατῶ ῥῆμα. ὡς τὸ, ὁ λαμβάνων δεκάτας δεδεκάτωται. τῆς τῶν Συρακουσίων δεκάτης πολὺ προτιμώτερόν σε ποιούμενος.
