Of Prusa, [or][1] of Nicomedia, a soldier, who had campaigned under the Emperor Constantine[2] in Scythia by the Istros.[3] This man wrote a book on farriery[4] and a physical [treatise] about the same animals;[5] and other things. Cimon the Athenian also wrote a marvellous book on the inspection of horses.[6]
