Ἀδηφαγία: ἡ ἀπληστία. καὶ Ἀδηφάγος, ἀθρόως ἐσθίων, πολυφάγος, γαστρίμαργος. Ἀδηφάγοι τριήρεις λέγοιντ' ἂν αἱ ἐντελόμισθοι καὶ πολλὰ ἀναλίσκουσαι, ἐκ μεταφορᾶς τῶν τελείων καὶ ἀγωνιστῶν ἵππων. Ἀλκαῖος δὲ ἐν τῇ Κωμῳδοτραγῳδίᾳ τοὺς πότας λύχνους ἀδηφάγους εἶπεν.
