Thucydides.[1] Likewise
Poseidônion, the [shrine] of Poseidon. Thus

Demetrion, and all such things, homonymous with the anthroponyms.[2] But as for
Poseidaneion,[3] it is clearly a Doric form.

[3] Unattested outside lexicography. But the god's name is attested with an alpha,
*posei/dan in Aeolic,
