Notes:
[1] The headword is superlative of h(/sswn/h(/ttwn, neuter accusative plural used as an adverb. (Same or similar glossing in other lexica). It must be extracted from somewhere (not necessarily the Libanius passage about to be quoted); cf. generally eta 175, eta 598, eta 626, eta 630.
[2] Libanius fr.67 Foerster, also in the scholia to Plato, Laws 899D. The quotation makes little sense as it stands and seems faulty; Adler reports that ms V has fili/a| "friendship" for fia/lh| "bowl".
[3] Iamblichus, Babyloniaca fr. 31 Habrich (also registered as Damascius, Life of Isidore fr. 23 Asmus, now 46 Zintzen -- wrongly according to Adler); cf. epsiloniota 207.
[4] Quotation unidentifiable -- but A. Favuzzi identifies the individual concerned as L. Antonius Saturninus: see under alpha 2762.
[5] Aelian fr. 74g Domingo-Forasté (71 Hercher); cf. epsilon 1395.
[6] Diogenes Laertius 9.19.
[7] Quotation not identified by Adler, but it is Marcellinus, Life of Thucydides 27.
[8] Iamblichus, Babyloniaca fr. 31 Habrich again.
[9] Aelian fr. 53f Domingo-Forasté (50 Hercher); cf. phi 594.
[10] Quotation unidentifiable. (Adler says 'Aelian' again, but not in Hercher's fragments.)
[11] Similar glosses in other lexica and scholia; cf. omicron 853, omicron 981.
