This page previously contained details about the Fractal Flame aglorithm. However, some of the details of the explanation need improvement, and I have chosen to remove them until I have time to make revisions and ensure that the details are explained correctly. The old version of the page can still be found here. However, some of the information on the page is imprecise and possibly misleading. I recommend reading the original paper by Draves and Reckase for a detailed explanation of the algorithm.
Nevertheless, the Java Fractal Flame Viewer is working and can still be downloaded here. Hopefully the viewer (and possibly the code) will make it easier to understand the algorithm.
