This is a direct quote from the rules posted on the Registrar's site, Final Exam page. Scroll down below the tables to the heading "Notes".
"Students: Any student with more than two final examinations scheduled on any one date shall be entitled to have the examination for the class with the highest catalog number rescheduled.
In case this highest number is shared by more than one course, the one whose departmental prefix is first alphabetically will be rescheduled. The option to reschedule must be exercised in writing to the appropriate instructor two weeks prior to the scheduled examination."
So PLEASE check your final exam schedule NOW and see if you have conflicts that need to be managed. Do NOT come to me the day of the final and say you need to take it some other time!
If the 101 exam is in conflict with a higher numbered course, please talk to that instructor first. If they won't give you an alternate time, ask them if they will put that in writing. Bring that writing to me and I will give you an alternate time.
