The ASEI Scheme for Solving the Dispersive Equation with Diffusion

Abstract

We employ the ASEI (Alternating Segment Explicit-Implicit) scheme to solve the dispersive equation with diffusion. The ASEI finite difference scheme is shown to be unconditionally stable and possesses rich parallelism. Numerical simulations on a model problem are also performed and results are reported.
