The 2013 International Conference on Computational and Information Sciences (ICCIS 2013) aims at bringing researchers and engineers in the areas of computational and information sciences to exchange new ideas and to explore new grounds. The goal of the conference is to advance and promote the applications of modern computing technologies to science, engineering, and information technologies.

Following the success of ICCIS2004 (Shanghai), ICCIS2011 (Chengdu), ICCIS2012 (Chongqing), the ICCIS 2013 conference will consist of invited keynote presentations and contributed presentations of the latest developments in computational and information sciences.

How to Contribute

Please prepare your research paper of no more than 4 pages in CPS conference proceedings paper format. For paper submission, please use Microsoft Academic Conference Management Service. A paper should be submitted as a single PDF file. The CPS manuscript templates for conference proceedings can be downloaded from here.

Submitted papers should be in English and contain unpublished contributions to computational and information sciences. Please note that we only accept a paper for peer review with the understanding that the paper has not been published elsewhere and has not been submitted for consideration of publication elsewhere.

All submitted paper should be in English and contain unpublished contributions to computational and information sciences. Submitted paper should have not been published elsewhere and should not be submitted for publication elsewhere simultaneously. ICCIS will uphold the highest academic standards and will penalize any authors whose papers are found to have committed plagiarization, by notifying the supervisors of the authors and not accepting papers from the same authors for at least three years.


Invitation Letter for Visa Application

For people who need an official invitation letter from the Chair of the Local Organizing Committee in China for the purpose of applying for a Chinese entry visa, please contact the conference co-chairs. Please provide him with your name, full address, fax number, paper number, and paper title.


Presentations

Presentation of an accepted paper can be either in an oral format or in a poster format. The authors will notify the conference Chairs the preferred formats of their presentations. It is expected that all accepted and published papers will be presented in one of the two formats, to allow interactions between the authors and the audience.

Publications

All accepted papers will be published by CPS in the CPS conference proceedings, which will be submitted for the inclusion in IEEE Xplore. Content will be submitted to the indexing companies for possible indexing (EI Compendex and ISTP). Indexing services are independent organizations, and we cannot guarantee that any particular abstract or index entry will be included in EI Compendex or any other indexing service. indexed in EI and ISTP. The proceedings in CD will be available to the attendees during the conference. Authors who need their own papers in hardcopy should contact the conference local organizing committee, before arriving for the conference, to request a hardcopy. After the conference, selected papers will be considered for publication as special issues in several journals. Guest editors and suggested journals are welcome. Those papers will go through the standard rigorous refereeing procedure established by the individual journals. Additional page charges by the journals are the responsibility of the authors.

Final Version of Accepted Papers

For preparing final version of your paper using CPS conference proceedings format, instructions will be given after the papers are accepted. The final version of the PDF files will be submitted by the authors to the website provided by CPS Publishing.

Venue and Accommodations

The conference will be held in the city of Shiyan, Hubei, China, on June 21-23, 2013. We have temporarily selected the Shiyan Wudang International Hotel as our conference. The conference hotel is subject to final contract details. The keynote lectures and contributed papers will be presented at the conference hall of the Wudang International Hotel. We have temporarily negotiated conference price hotel accommodation with the Wudang International Hotel, Shiyang, Hubei, China. A hotel room for single or double occupancy is RMB346 Yuan per night with single breakfast. The hotel provides free wireless Internet connection for all guests. Registrations

Authors with accepted papers will be asked to pre-register for the conference in order for their papers to be included in the conference proceedings. The deadline for pre-registration is March 30, 2013. Details on where to upload the accepted papers and to pay the registration fees will be provided once the information becomes available. The registration fee for one paper up to 4 pages is $USD470 (or equivalently RMB2700). Each additional page will cost $USD112 (RMB700). We strongly encourage authors to limit their papers to 4 pages. Longer papers can be considered for possible journal publications after the conference.

Please note that the proper method for paying the registration fees is with bank wire transfer. Specific bank information will be provided to the authors with accepted papers. We do not accept credit card registrations.

ICCIS2013 will be open to all people. People wish to attend ICCIS2013 without submitting a paper may pay the USA$470 registration fee at the conference site. There is no need for pre-registration just for attending the conference. However, for planning purpose, we strongly encourage all attendees to information the conference organizers with e-mails to jzhang@cs.uky.edu.

Travel and Transportation

For people arriving from overseas, the airport that you will eventually arrive at is Wuhan Airport.

The two best ways to travel from Wuhan to Shiyan are by trains and by buses. The trains will stop at the Shiyan Railway Station.

The City of Shiyan

Shiyan City is located in Hubai Province, China. The famous Wudang Mountain is nearby, which is the most important Daost religion place.
