Requirements each undergraduate student at UK must complete to earn any degree. A description of each component of USP and courses are found in the UK Bulletin online.

University Graduation Requirements
UK has four graduation requirements that must be satisfied to earn your degree. These are the basic skills mathematics requirement, second tier writing requirement, residence requirement, and the graduation application requirement.

Major Requirments
These requirements are proposed for Fall 2006 to meet ABET Accreditation Criteria. Applies to students entering the university Fall 2006 and after.

2 - may be used to satisfy the USP Electives requirement. The rule is (ABET requirement) that ``The curriculum must include at least 30 semester hours of study in humanities, social sciences, arts and other [not from CS, MA, Engineering, Natural Sciences] disciplines that serve to broaden the background of the student''. Note that some of the USP required courses overlap this requirement but they amount to less than 30 hours so additional courses are needed to meet 30 credits.Computer Science Electives
Three 300-level or above CS courses including at least two of: CS-335, 405, 441, 450, and 463 — 9 credit hours
Technical Electives
12 credit hours selected from 300-level or greater MA, CS, EE or B&E courses. If both MA-213/MA322 taken, one of them is acceptable as a Technical Elective. MA-214 is also acceptable. — 12 credit hours
Natural Science Electives
Two courses in addition to the required Physics (check with the advisor for acceptable courses) — 6 credit hours
University Studies
University Studies Program (USP) requirements must be satisfied.
Credit and Grade Point Hour Requirements
128 credit hours minimum with a 2.0 GPA overall and in your major courses.
