His book Algebraic Shift Register Sequences, coauthored by Mark Goresky, is being published by Cambridge University Press. This is a comprehensive research monograph/advanced textbook on the generation and analysis of pseudorandom sequences and their application in cryptography and communications.
Arithmetic transforms of Boolean functions. Boolean functions play a central role in introducing nonlinearity to high-speed cryptography stream ciphers and block ciphers. In this project, Klapper is investigating a suite of new measures of security of these functions based on a new "with-carry" model of the algebra of Boolean functions.
