2011 UK Student Programming Contest

The 13th annual UK Student Programming Contest (UKSPC’11) took place in RGAN labs on Friday, September 16, 2011. Twenty-seven students participated, the largest number in recent years. The programming energy and skills were very high, with three students solving six and numerous students solving five problems out of the set of seven tasks in this 3.5 hour long competition.  The students were competing for the opportunity to represent the University of Kentucky in the Association for Computing Machinery's annual International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). UKCS will host a regional ICPC competition later in the year, from which the top few teams will advance to the International finals, to be held in Warsaw, Poland, in May 2012.
